Cosco Carseat

Find a Stylish Cosco Carseat For Your Child

Cosco carseats are made by the Dorel company. The Cosco brand has been around since 1941 making dependable, quality juvenile products including carseats. The Cosco carseat comes in three forms: convertible, booster, and infant.

Convertible Carseat

Dorel makes a convertible type carseat under the Cosco brand name. The convertible Cosco carseat can (and should) be used rear facing at first when your baby is young. After your baby's first birthday the convertible Cosco carseat can be turned around to face forward. The two most popular convertible Cosco carseats are the Touriva and the extremely popular Alpha Omega.

Booster Carseat

There are four main types of booster type Cosco carseats:

bulletBack-less Auto Booster Seat, which also come in a version with a higher seat
bulletAmbassador Booster Seat, a back-less booster seat almost identical to the Auto Booster but with padded arm rests
bulletSummit High Back Booster, with harness system, so it can be used with younger children and toddlers
bulletProtek Belt Positioning Booster with many adjustments and removable back

Infant Carseat

Cosco does not make a Cosco brand infant carseat. The Dorel company does make infant carseats in the Eddie Bauer and Safety 1st brands. These are for infants from newborns and up to about twenty-two pounds. These carseats should always be placed in the middle of the back seat, facing the rear of the vehicle. They also have bases that stay latched in the vehicle, so you can unlatch the seat to use as a convenient infant carrier. Cosco also has extra bases you can buy when using your seat in more than one vehicle.

Cosco has licensed rights to Eddie Bauer, Disney Baby, and Corvette, so many stylish variations are available for your Cosco carseat.

No matter which Cosco carseat you choose, remember the safest place for your infant or child is in the back seat.
