Britax Carseats, For Safety and Comfort
One of the most important products from Britax are their Britax carseats. For over fifty years Britax,
a European company, has been making infant and children's products. There are three types of Britax carseats,
infant, convertible, and booster seats.
The Britax infant seats are for babies up to 22 pounds or up to 26 inches. They provide extra support
for heads and backs. Some models have stay-in car bases. Theses stay buckled in your vehicle so you can unlatch
the seat to use as a convenient infant carrier. A smart idea if you have multiple vehicles is to purchase additional
bases for convenience, and these are available.
The next type of Britax carseats are the convertible carseats. Convertible Britax carseats are
also known as infant-toddler car seats. These are intended to be used rear facing for a young baby and then
turned around after the child's first birthday or when they exceed the recommended maximum weight or length.
These seats usually sit children safely up to 40 pounds.
The final type of Britax carseats are booster seats. These carseats come in various sizes
for a range of child ages and heights. Boosters are great for children too big to use Britax child carseats.
It enables them to wear a vehicle seatbelt properly. Some of these boosters have harnesses for young children,
and some just have the seat belt guides for the vehicle belts.
