Britax is a European company making infant and children's products for over fifty years. One of their most important products are child car seats. The Britax Marathon Racer is known as their most popular car seat due to its safety record, comfort, and style.

The Britax Marathon Racer is a convertible type seat. Convertible means it can be used as an infant car seat, a toddler car seat, and a booster seat. When used for infants, the Britax Marathon Racer sits rear facing, and holds infants weighing five to thirty-three pounds.

After your child's first birthday, the Britax Marathon Racer can be turned around and face the front of your vehicle for use as a toddler car seat. As such it holds children twenty to sixty-five pounds.

Used as a booster, the Britax Marathon Racer provides for use of your vehicle’s seat belt. The Racer guides the belt to the correct position over the child for a safe ride. Booster seats work especially well for children too big for a child car seat, but are not yet big enough to use an adult seat belt on their own.

There are many nice features on the Britax Marathon Racer. The harness, for example, can be adjusted to four positions to fit children snugly as they grow. Most car seats only have three adjustments. The harness is a twist and tangle free five-point with locking chest clip. As well, the Britax Marathon Racer includes the LATCH system.

The Britax Marathon Racer is very comfortable. It has a plush seat cover which comes in six colors, and four patterns and which is removable and washable. As your child gets bigger, there are also additional seat covers available to give them more shoulder room.
